IMPORTANT UPDATE - JUNE 2006.
The Viraphend Web site is one the most detailed, unbiased sites available,
that provides easy to understand in-depth information that relates to HPV,
cervical dysplasia and genital warts, so please use this site freely to make an
informed decision about the future of your health.
Having said that, it is with deep regret and sadness that Phend
pharmaceuticals has decided to discontinue manufacturing Viraphend at the end of
December 2006. Our company's ethos has always been to provide the highest
quality products that have been researched intensely verifying that clinically
proof always accompanied our claims. For this reason you will notice that we do
not have a large inventory, as making a natural product that effectively treats
serious diseases is an extremely difficult task. As far as Viraphend goes, from
the very outset we have been constantly up against the medically fraternity on
the one hand and the consumer on the other hand wandering if purchasing a
product off the internet has any value. Due to this, we have always chosen our
words carefully so as not to offend certain sectors of the medical community,
however this has not always been in the best interest of the consumer.
By providing a one sided approach even though it may be true, is never good
for business as the perception from potential buyers is that the data is biased,
so we have always provided a balanced approach to accommodate this ideal and
refrain from accusing medical practitioners from improper practices. This we
have succeeded in doing, unfortunately there have been parts that have been left
out, which are probably the most important parts of all.
Viraphend has always been a product of passion, as it provided the means to
effectively treat a common disease in a simple manner and provide patients with
a safety net, without them having to resort to costly and painful surgery. It
has never been a profitable product, but one that's been extremely rewarding
over the past ten years, especially when patients contacted us with their
fantastic news.
As we no longer have a perceived financial agenda, it's time to let the cat
out the bag in reply to our critics whom we have largely ignored over the years.
The saddest part is that we have truly helped thousands of men and women over
the years, who unfortunately will have to resort to some barbaric medical
procedures in the future.
The following information will prove shocking to some, but it's worth
reading.
WHY DO WE SELL VIRAPHEND OVER THE INTERNET?
We don't only sell it over the internet. In our home country it is available
through 1500 pharmacies and supplied through pharmaceutical distributors. The
internet provides us with a cost effective means to sell Viraphend
internationally.
WHY CAN'T I FIND VIRAPHEND IN MY OWN COUNTRY?
i) The main reason is that foreign governments are making it harder and
harder for foreign companies to register "nutritional supplements" with the
medical registration authorities. Although it may benefit their citizens there
is no financial benefit to the government.
ii) There is also a major move by pharmaceutical companies to lobby governments
all over the world, to place a ban on nutritional supplements and natural
medicines. The reason for this is self explanatory, the sad thing is that they
are winning.
iii) Viraphend is an expensive product to make. For it to be effective you
cannot take short cuts. With every person in the step from exporter to importer
to wholesaler and retailer adding their markup, Viraphend becomes too expensive,
having to compete against cheaper unproven products that have great marketing
and advertising campaigns, but with no medical benefit.
ISN'T VIRAPHEND JUST A BUNCH OF VITAMINS AND MINERALS?
This question has been highlighted numerous times on web chat rooms and
BLOG's. Natural products cannot be patented and therefore we detail our
ingredients in a manner that shows what it is but in a way that it cannot be
duplicated by a competing company. If it were a simple matter of providing
vitamins and minerals, everyone would do it. We don't expect the average person
to understand the complex mechanism of symbiosis and therefore do not go into a
detailed explanation of how the actives only work if the ratio balances are
intact. In addition most processed natural molecular structures have a size that
does not exceed 0.5 million dalton. This is very small, however not small enough
to interact with viruses. The key virus attacking ingredients in Viraphend are
at 2 million dalton. Four times smaller than most actives. At this level they
can now interact and strip away a viruses protective outer shield, and this is
what makes Viraphend truly unique. Getting access to this quality of natural
ingredient is even more difficult as the process is time consuming and extremely
expensive. We searched for three years and only found two small companies
worldwide who's ingredients met the highest quality criteria.
THE MEDICAL ASPECTS - IN EVERY DAY LANGUAGE.
WHAT IS CERVICAL DYSPLASIA
Simply put it is an abnormality of the cells that line the cervix. When seen
under a microscope they have a flattish appearance rather than a round oval
shape. The problem with testing is that the level of false positives is too
high. This means that if you took your pap test to 5 different labs, the
discrepancies between each labs results are to high.
The most common results that come back are ASCUS. This means an Atypical
Squamous Cell of Undetermined Significance. In other words the cell is slightly
out of shape but they cannot determine the significance of this. A honest
practitioner should tell you to do the following:
Come back in 6 months time for another test.
Avoid washing your vaginal area with soap
Stop using any form of anti-bacterial douche
Stop taking bubble baths
Don't wash your hair while sitting in the bath
Don't spray your vaginal area with deodorant
Build up your immune system
And take a 3 month course of Viraphend
But instead the normal response is: "You have cervical dysplasia and if not
treated it will turn to cancer. I'll see you in six months time for another
pap". All the unfortunate patient remembers is that word "CANCER" and her brains
turn to mush. She is now putty in her doctors hands.
Why should a doctor advise you to take a 3 month course of Viraphend.
Because we have clinical evidence that Viraphend treats cervical dysplasia in
most cases and perhaps most importantly is that Cervical Dysplasia is a very
slow acting condition. From ASCUS or CIN-1 it can take 5-10 years to develop
into cancer. Even at CIN-2 it is many years away. So what is the harm in trying
a 3 month course that when successful provides an immunity to that particular
strain of HPV. When that happens you follow up with annual checks ups and no
more worries about surgery.
The question you should now be asking, is why don't they advise this. The
answer to this can never be proven in a court of law, so we'll provide the
background and leave it to the law of public opinion.
The journey of a medical practitioner is long and costly. It is a profession
that one takes on for life, with many years of intense study and years of very
hard work as one builds up knowledge of the human condition. Most doctors look
forward to the day of being in private practice which has unprecedented
financial rewards compared to working in government institutions.
Now....it is estimated that a gynecologists income is approximately 30%-50%
reliant on cervical dysplasia. These are the charges that come into play:
Initial consult, pap smear, lab fees. (In some countries the lab pays a
commission of all work sent their way), Colposcopy charge, Biopsy charge when
applicable which includes:
Additional lab fees (+commission), Hospital fees (+commission), surgical fees,
Theatre fees (+commission), and any subsequent follow up consulting fees.
This can go on for years and years. It is ludicrous that in this day and age
that a viral infection is still being treated with surgery, it's almost unheard
of, and they have the gall to call it "modern medicine".
We spent hundreds of thousands detailing gynaecologists in our country. Only one
took an interest but it never went any further. Are you shocked....well we were.
Do doctors ignore Viraphend because they are concerned at their potential loss
of income? We let you be the judge, because although we have tried, we have
never received a straight answer.
Why should a medical practitioner give up a large chunk of his income to a DIY
medication, especially a natural medication. No amount of clinical evidence will
ever change this status quo. A doctor never bucks the system, because if you do,
the consequences can be devastating.
So in order to circumvent this avenue, we approached the consumer directly and
hoped that common sense would prevail. And yes there are fortunately women out
there who could see through the medical facade, but unfortunately the vast
majority are brain washed into trusting their doctors implicitly and without
question. Over the years we have received the most horrifying stories from women
who received full hysterectomies while still in their early twenties with a CD
reading of CIN-1. Others have reported that their doctors told them to double
their daily dose of the pill.
WHY ARE THERE NO TESTIMONIALS ON YOUR SITE
I never cease to be amazed how people base their buying decisions based on
testimonials of people they have never seen or spoken to. Testimonials are a
scam. Anyone can make up miracle stories with fictitious names, it's a common
practice to help sell a product. We instead provide actually clinical trials and
data to verify Viraphends' effectiveness. Clinical trials are undertaken by
independent medical researches who's findings are then published to the medical
community for peer review and scrutiny. One of these is worth a million
testimonials, because they can't be manipulated. It's not that people don't
trust clinical trials, the problem is they don't understand the importance of
them.
ISN'T THERE NOW A CURE FOR CERVICAL DYSPLASIA?
A new vaccine has been developed against the two known types of HPV that
cause cervical cancer which are HPV 16 & 18. There are about 5 other HPV types
that are suspected in causing cervical cancer and 70 more some of which can
cause genital warts of which there is still no known vaccine cure. There has not
been sufficient time to evaluate if there are any long term side effects
associated with these new vaccines.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Viraphend will only be available until the end of Dec 2006. If you have a pap
smear test result as ASCUS or CIN-1, then we highly advise you to use your
common sense and at least try the product before venturing into costly and
painful surgery. You have time on your hands and nothing to loose, but much to
gain.
UPDATE JUNE 2006 ends
VIRAPHEND
THE POWER TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST CERVICAL DYSPLASIA, GENITAL AND PLANTAR
WARTS.
VIRAPHEND is a product that contains a very specific combination of
extracts and concentrates using the latest medical research and
scientific processing methods to provide healing compounds that are
completely natural with no adverse side effects.
Believed to be one of the most beneficial combination nutrients due to
its
anti-cancer, antioxidant, immune enhancing and cardiovascular
supporting activities,
VIRAPHEND was primarily developed to fight the
causes and effects of cervical dysplasia, genital warts and plantar
warts.
BACKGROUND:
The success of
VIRAPHEND is based on medical clinical trials as well as
experience and feedback from thousands of women and men who have used it
for cervical dysplasia, genital warts, plantar warts, and other HPV
infections.
VIRAPHEND has successfully eliminated cervical dysplasia and
genital warts in over 95% of cases within 80-90 days.
The continuous feedback we receive from both doctors and patients is very
encouraging. In spite of the wide variety of case histories reported
VIRAPHEND has effectively eliminated cervical dysplasia, HPV, or
genital warts, in the vast majority (over 95% success), without the need
for surgery.
VIRAPHEND can also be taken for preventative maintenance
and for general health.
WHY IT WORKS:
Cervical dysplasia, genital warts, and plantar warts are symptoms of
immune system weakness caused by poor nutrition, environmental toxins
(especially smoking), or hereditary factors that allow the HPV virus to
damage skin cells.
VIRAPHEND works in a multifaceted approach by
inhibiting pre cancerous lesions and the growth of a human cervical
cancer cell line, through apoptosis. The result is (1) exposing the HPV
virus to the cellular immune system T-cells (possibly by killing HPV-infected
cells) which then produce specific transfer factor against that HPV
type, (2) by making all cells healthier, (3) by killing the HPV virus
directly, and (4) strengthening the overall immune system.
SUCCESS OF VIRAPHEND:
In thousands of cases, taking
VIRAPHEND orally and vaginally has
eliminated cervical dysplasia and genital warts. In
contrast, the surgical procedures that are commonly used are
uncomfortable, expensive, and effective less than 75% of the time when
the results are examined over several years. Surgical treatment does not
make sense for an infection such as cervical dysplasia or genital warts.
The success rate of
VIRAPHEND greatly improves with topical use, along
with taking
VIRAPHEND orally. Topical use refers to using
VIRAPHEND
vaginally as a suppository, in the case of cervical dysplasia, and
applying
VIRAPHEND as a suspension to
genital warts, in the case of genital
warts. Orally alone, the success rate with
VIRAPHEND is about 80%, but
with oral and topical use the success rate is over 95%, particularly in
non-smokers.
94.7% - 4 caps/day orally, 2 caps vaginally (Non-Smoker)
90.1% - 4 caps/day orally, 2 caps vaginally (Smoker)
79.3% - 4 caps/day orally only (Non-Smoker)
70.1% - 4 caps/day orally only (Smoker)
Treatment failures with
VIRAPHEND are less than 5% in 90 days. Most of
the cases that fall into the 5% category are either (1) smokers, or (2)
people who have serious immune system problems characterized by
allergies, frequent illnesses, or autoimmune disorders. In these cases,
it sometimes takes 180 days or longer to see results with
VIRAPHEND.
MEDICAL OPINIONS:
Many studies are required before a product gains widespread acceptance,
and the medical community are relatively slow on the uptake. It took 18
years for penicillin to gain widespread use and many years before it
became accepted that Helicobacter pylori was the bacterial cause of
duodenal ulcers, to name a few.
Many doctors are starting to become receptive to the idea of allowing
their patients a 3 month course of
VIRAPHEND and then get another Pap
smear before considering surgical procedures. We believe that once
published research gains momentum, which is increasing every year,
VIRAPHEND will be the first accepted medical treatment rather than
surgery.
We are currently negotiating with medical aids to fully pay for a
members treatment without impacting on their medicine benefit, before
any surgical procedure is undertaken.
A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF CERVICAL DYSPLASIA, CAUSES & OPTIONS.
Women are understandably concerned when an abnormal Pap smear is
reported, which is quite a common occurrence. If left untreated it can
develop into cervical cancer. Cervical dysplasia is the third leading
cause of cancer deaths in women in the United States, second in China,
and first in developing countries.
The
VIRAPHEND web site is aimed at lifting the veil of ignorance
regarding the causes and treatment options available so that informed
decisions can be made in order to avoid sometimes catastrophic
consequences.
Follow the step by step links providing in depth information regarding
Cervical Dysplasia, the Human Papilloma Virus and how
VIRAPHEND can
help you eliminate this disease, genital and plantar warts, without
surgery and no side effects. We also provide in-depth information with
medical jargon should you require in-depth research.
CERVICAL DYSPLASIA
Cervical dysplasia is a condition in which cells of the cervix of the
uterus become dysplastic or abnormal in appearance. In a small
percentage of cases, dysplasia can develop into cancer (carcinoma in
situ or invasive carcinoma).
Dysplasia of the cervix of the uterus is first detected by an abnormal
pap smear. Genital warts occur in a small percentage of HPV infections
in both men and women.
A PAP SMEAR is a screening procedure to ascertain if you have abnormal
cells in the cervix. If the result is positive this means that you have
a condition called cervical dysplasia. If left untreated this condition can eventually
turn into cervical cancer.
COLPOSCOPY & BIOPSY
After a Pap is taken and the result is positive, your doctor may
schedule a colposcopy for further investigation. A colposcopy is an
investigative procedure using a scope and light to visualize the cervix
under magnification.
Biopsies are taken from the surface of the cervix in the suspicious
areas. If nothing looks suspicious, then biopsies are taken randomly. A
biopsy refers to cutting away a piece of tissue with a surgical knife
for further analysis by the labs. A colposcopy is better at grading
visible dysplasia. However, a Pap smear is better for screening in cases
of mild dysplasia in which no lesion is visible.
HOW SERIOUS IS MY DYSPLASIA?
It is at this juncture which may determine the next medical procedure.
If no lesions or genital warts were found, a follow up pap in 3-6 months time
will be prescribed. If a lesion or genital wart was found, the lab result stages the dysplasia as
one of the following: (The terminology may vary from doctor to doctor)
* Mild Dysplasia or Cervical intraepithelial neoplasias (CIN I) or
low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LGSILs)
* Moderate Dysplasia or Cervical intraepithelial neoplasias (CIN II)
* Severe Dysplasia or Cervical intraepithelial neoplasias (CIN III) or
high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HGSILs)
* Carcinoma in Situ or cancer of the cervix or vulva
WHAT CAUSES CERVICAL DYSPLASIA?
Dysplasia of the cervix of the uterus is caused by HPV (human
papillomavirus) and is the only proven cause of cervical dysplasia.
Genital warts occur in a small percentage of HPV infections in both men
and women.
The HPV type (there are over 70 types) that causes cervical dysplasia is
a sexually transmitted virus. It can lie dormant for years even decades
before it decides to erupt. Although cervical dysplasia is more
prevalent in sexually promiscuous relationships this is not always
necessarily the case. You or your partner may have had only one other
sexual encounter many years ago that allowed this virus to enter your
system.
THE DIFFERENT SURGICAL PROCEDURES
Until
VIRAPHEND, surgery has been the only means available to the
medical profession in treating Cervical Dysplasia. If your doctor
schedules a surgical procedure to remove or cauterize the lesion, these
procedures may take the form of:
*
ECC (endocervical curettage),
*
Cryotherapy (cryosurgery or freezing)
*
Cone biopsy (cold knife cone, or CKC),
*
Laser surgery (laser vaporization),
*
LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure), also known as loop
diathermy treatment, loop excision of the transformation zone (LETZ),
and large loop excision of the transformation zone (LLETZ).
These procedures are effective in the short term, but they treat the
symptoms and not the cause. A long term study undertaken showed that
surgical procedures were less effective in over 75% of cases, requiring
further surgery. Although a relatively simple procedure, as with all
surgery there is always the risk of complications or incompetence with
disastrous consequences. Cases that continue over long periods of time,
generally result in a full hysterectomy.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I ONLY REQUIRE A FOLLOW-UP PAP IN 6 MONTHS TIME?
If you have a low grade dysplasia and only require a follow-up pap in 6
months time, this basically means that the surgeon has nothing to
cauterise or remove and therefore during this period you become totally
reliant on whether your own immune system is strong enough to stop the
dysplasia from regressing. Should this waiting period be successful, the
problem is that the cause of the dysplasia (the HPV) is still active in
the epithelial cells and in time is likely to return.
VIRAPHEND let's
you fight back and I recommend starting
VIRAPHEND orally and vaginally
as soon as possible, 4 caps/day orally and 2 caps/day vaginally, for 90
days.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I REQUIRE SURGERY?
In most cases you have time on your hands as Cervical Dysplasia is
relatively slow acting disorder. Prior to any surgical procedure being
performed, I recommend starting
VIRAPHEND orally and vaginally as soon
as possible, 4 caps/day orally and 2 caps/day vaginally, for 90 days.
First discuss this with your doctor, a good one would agree that surgery
should be the last option available.
CARCINOMA IN SITU:
I want to point out that this information about
VIRAPHEND is based on
cervical dysplasia, not carcinoma in situ or cancer of the vulva. If the
Pap smear or biopsy has true cancerous cells (carcinoma in situ or
invasive carcinoma) rather than dysplastic or pre cancerous cells (of
cervical dysplasia), then those cancerous cells must be removed by the
appropriate surgical procedure. In this case, LEEPs and cone biopsies
are the most commonly used procedures, or, in cases of cancer of the
vulva, excision of the lesion.
VIRAPHEND should then be used to prevent
a recurrence. Do not rely on
VIRAPHEND to cure cancer. However, you
should take
VIRAPHEND to get rid of the HPV which is the primary cause.
CERVICAL CANCER AND HPV:
J Clin Virol 2000 Oct 1;19(1-2):1-5 Human papillomavirus and cancer: the
epidemiological evidence. Munoz N, International Agency for Research on
Cancer, 150 Cours Albert-Thomas, 69372, Cedex 08, Lyon, France
"Objective: Summary of the studies carried out by the IARC on HPV and
cervical cancer is presented.
Results: the first one was the international prevalence survey of HPV
types in invasive cervical cancer (ICC) conducted in up to 22 countries.
Overall, 99.7% of 1000 cases with histologically confirmed ICC were also
shown to be HPV DNA positive using the GP5+/GP6+ or E7 primers,
indicating that HPV is a necessary cause of cervical cancer. The most
prevalent HPV types were HPV 16 (53%), HPV 18 (15%), HPV 45 (9%), HPV 31
(6%) and HPV 33 (3%). HPV 16 was the most common type in all
geographical regions, followed by HPV 18 that was particularly,
common in South-East Asia.
The second set of studies included case-control studies carried out in
13 countries. They included about 2000 cases and 2000 controls.
Positivity, for any HPV DNA yielded a pooled odds ratio (OR) of 70. The
association was equally strong for both squamous cell (OR=74) and
adenocarcinoma (OR=50) and for HPV 16 and 18 as well as for the less
common HPV types. Our results indicate that in addition to HPV 16 and
18, HPV 31, 33, 35, 45, 51, 52, 58 and 59 now can be considered as
carcinogenic.
The third group of studies is aimed to determine the HPV DNA prevalence
in random, age-stratified (by 5 years, 15-19 to 65+) subsamples (1100
women) of the general population. Two age-peaks (<25 and >59 years),
have been found in some countries (Costa-Rica, Mexico, Colombia) but not
in all (Argentina). Whether the second peak is due to viral
reactivation, variations in screening or represents a birth-cohort
effect remains to be determined. The distribution of the most prevalent
HPV types in the general population (HPV 16, 18, 45, 31, 58, 33, 35)
resembles that for cervical cancer cases.
Conclusions: our studies provide the most solid epidemiological
evidence, to conclude that HPV is not only the central cause of cervical
cancer worldwide but also a necessary cause."
WHAT DOES VIRAPHEND DO?
- Suppression of pre cancerous lesions.
- Inhibits the growth of a human cervical cancer cell line, CaSki cells,
through apoptosis, G(1) arrest, and regulation of gene expression in
vitro and in vivo.
- Helps the body develop immunity to the HPV virus by (1) strengthening
the immune system, (2) by making all cells healthier, (3) by killing HPV
virus directly, or (4) by exposing the HPV virus to the cellular immune
system T-cells which then produce specific transfer factor against that
HPV type.
- Increasing the levels of phosphates in the cells, resulting in increased
natural killer cell activity. Natural killer cells also play a role in
immuno-regulation, by secreting high levels of lymphokines, that
enhances cell-to-cell communication, induces differentiation, increases
NK cell activity, and helps inhibit tumor growth.
- Enhances super oxide production and phagocytosis by neutrophils in the
presence of microbial stimuli.
- Produces cell proteins called cytokines which transfer the necessary
information to other immune cells and eventually activate or modulate
the functions of total immune systems.
- Decreases cellular proliferation, causes differentiation of malignant
cells often resulting in a reversion to normal phenotype. Involvement of
signal transduction pathways, cell cycle regulatory genes,
differentiation
genes, oncogenes and, tumor suppressor genes in bringing about the
observed anti-neoplastic action.
- Inhibits quinol oxidase on cancerous cells by limiting their growth and
development. The cells do not reach the required size to divide and cell
poptosis occurs.
- Enhances a subset of T-lymphocytes called natural killer (NK) cells
which increases their ability to kill cancer cells. This study shows a
simultaneous reduction of cancer and an enhancement of NK activity.
- Acts as a bridge between foreign proteins such as virus particles and
macrophages, facilitating phagocytosis.
- Lowers the cholesterol level as well as the triglyceride level. A large
clinical study suggested the reversal of extant atheromatous
cardiovascular disease.
- Endocrine System. Studies in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus
reflect hypoglycemic activity and may have the capability of stimulating
regeneration of cells in the islets of langerhans including the beta
cells, the site of insulin synthesis and release, showing significant,
long-lasting blood glucose control properties.
